HISTORY

Caelum Terran was born to Leona and Cayson Terran around the end of August in 2003. Her ambitious and headstrong mother was a physics professor in a prestigious college, while her gentle but wise father belonged to the Cosmos Space Center as a seleonologist. Because of their backgrounds, this would only seal her fate as an astro-fanatic early on in her life.

She lived a rather peaceful life with her loving family, striving to be a good student to impress her two incredibly scientifically-involved parents; although, she was quite a sheltered child, not having many opportunities to go outside. This stable life continued, even soon after her mother changed jobs to teach in the university Caelum would be studying for her high school. After being nominated as one of her class' representatives, she became more withdrawn, taking her position and studies seriously. This earned her an up-and-down reputation with her peers. But she didn't mind; as long as her parents were proud and happy, things can stay as they were.

This all changed in the year Aletheia Justice came to America from Khurain in 8th grade. The two constantly got into debates and squabbles, but soon formed an unlikely friendship, leading her to becoming more open to the people around her beyond an academic setting. Another event that year that affected her so deeply was when one early evening, her father was involved in a car accident and subsequently lost their life. She fell into a state of shock and withdrawal once more over the loss of one parent. This didn't help that her mother was severely affected as well. From that point on, she would always be seen wearing a mysterious bandage on the bridge of her nose.

But soon, she would be able to heal from the hurt and receive closure alongside her mother with the help of Aletheia as high school finished. After her dreams in studying astrophysics to hopefully reach the moon as an astronaut was greenlit by Leona, she graduated with flying colours, now currently working in the Cosmos Space Center like her father did. She had also been recently selected to join her childhood hero, Solaris Starbuck, in piloting the HAT-2 to the moon in December 15 2027.

Personality and interests

Caelum essentially keeps a lot of her original counterpart's character (point of reference: Daichi/Clay from @TaiyouToChikyuu). However, some aspects are adjusted due to the effects of her gender identity, and so they split up as having slightly differing personalities from the original Daichi/Clay.

An example of this is being considered quite an oddball as she grew up. The most well known clothing article she wears, her old school visor, is particularly worn by male students only; not to mention, this went on for a decade. Because of this, it can be assumed she can be more daring in her decisions compared to her counterpart.

Her character gives the impression of an earnest athelete, being quite hotheaded and excitable with things that catch her attention the most. Unlike her more gentle counterpart, in certain circumstances, Caelum can be just as tempered as her best friend.

This woman can also be quite the charismatic. It's easy for her to approach and hold casual conversations with people for hours on end, given her conversation partner isn't actively aggressive; in that case, she will first try to pacify the situation then stop. Caelum is notable for always lending and ear and a hand to someone who would need it, even going as far to intervene without their input if she deemed it serious enough. Therefore, more often than not, her easily trust-giving and compassionate nature gets her in a bind.

Her main interests lie in astronomy and engineering. She has a specialty for calculation, theoretic science, and analyses, so her strength lies in astrophysics. On the other hand, she enjoys building or creating things. Despite being a fanatic for crunching numbers and crafting, she greatly enjoys anything reminding her of space, whether the topic or object in question may be fantasy-based or sci-fi inspired.

Although she enjoys things far above in the sky, she also has some earthly hobbies such as maintaining her small garden of self-made terrariums and tinkering with tiny things here and there. Another of her space-unrelated abilities, derived from being taught at an earlier age by her father, Caelum knows how to bake. Oftentimes, anything that comes out of her hobbies are gifted to friends and family.

--{ My mother. She's a real kicker when it comes to mathematics, alright! She teaches at the university I studied at during my high school days as a science teacher. Kind of a workaholic and stumped with a lot of business. Despite that, her students (and I) love her very much for being amazing at her job and for being nice, even if she tends to be tired and annoyed. )

--{ My father. He was probably the kindest person I've ever known next to Aletheia. He used to be an observational scientist for GYAXA and inspired me to take interest in the moon, but he perished in an accident that left me with scars yet to heal. He was optimistic and loving; weirdly more effeminate in nature compared to my mom. We're both weird then, hahaha...! I miss him... )

The one and only courageous survivor from the HAT-1 Miracle, she was someone I looked up to even before that mission, moreso before she took on her new, happy identity as a woman. She and my dad were acquaintances before, and that's how I first met her. She's always been patient, taking me in as her protégé of sorts. I'm so lucky to work under her wing! I.... know of her problems, and I want to do my best in helping her get back into space! )

She works under Aura Blackquill's department, but is still a very big fan of Solomon Starbuck as much as her brother is. )
